Bat

A bat is a nocturnal animal. It is a mammal, not a bird. There are about 2000 species of bats. A bat finds its prey at night. It sleeps during daytime hanging upside down in trees. (It's a fascinating creature!!!). Bats have eyes. But they do not use them too often. They use ultrasonic sounds for navigation. They emit ultrasonic sounds (high-frequency sounds) at night-time. When these sounds fall on obstacles, they are reflected back. Bats detect these reflected sounds and respond accordingly.
