Red colour of the sky

The sky appears red at morning and evening. This is due to the fact that at morning and evening sunlight has to travel larger part of the atmosphere than at noon. According to Rayleigh's scattering law, light with less wavelength (blue light) is scattered away easily and red light which has longer wavelength reaches the observer (This is really fascinating!!!). Hence, the sky appears red at morning and evening.
